The extension at the back of the Dolphin Bar is being demolished. Benalder Street and Cooperswell Street (behind the rubble) have been closed since August 2016 following the collapse of a wall at the rear of the block between the two. The entire block (The Dolphin bar, an Italian restaurant, hair and beauty salon and shops, together with the flats above) have lain empty, while a dispute over whether to repair or demolish the extension at the back has carried on.
