Partick Hill railway station (site), Glasgow
Opened as "Partick" in 1882 on the North British Railway's lines from Glasgow to Dalmuir, this station was renamed Partick Hill in 1953. It closed in 1979 when the current Partick station was opened, which was better sited for interchange with the Glasgow Underground. View north west from the present station - see Image

West Of Scotland Cricket Club
A sky sign in need of painting on the Peel Street side of the cricket ground. The ground is the site of the first ever international football match. The date was 30 November 1872 and the teams were Scotland and England. 4000 spectators witnessed a goalless draw.

Former Partickhill railway station
A west bound train, having just left Partick, passes the site of the former Partickhill station which is across Dumbarton Road. The existing station, which is a subway interchange, is currently undergoing extensive remodelling.
