Larbert Village Primary School, rear view
The original building which opened in 1891 and faces Main Street, was extended with the building of this extension in 2009. (Front view, Image]). Viewed here from Eastcroft Street, the extension adds 6 classrooms, an ICT suite, a new nursery class, meeting rooms and a school gymnasium to the school.

Headed by 61308, a Class B1 4-6-0. Designed by Edward Thompson for the LNER, the class was intended for mixed traffic work but was equally capable of handling second-rank expresses.

Larbert Village Primary School
This building, facing Main Street, opened in 1891 and has been refurbished twice. A new extension was built to the rear in 2009. (See Image]). The current pupil roll is just under 300 boys and girls aged 4 - 12.
