Junction of Dinan Way and Byron Way
Exmouth is twinned with Dinan in France, and this road takes its name from that alliance. The housing estate has numerous roads with the names of British writers. The new housing estate has a modern design of pillar box, sited for the benefit of the postal collection, rather than users.

Open to question, Dinan Way
This stone dated 1863 whilst slightly damaged contains what appears to be a War Department benchmark. The question is, is it in its original position?
Dinan Way is a relatively new road this stone is hidden away behind a crash barrier. Was it moved at some point?
The Royal Marine camp is a few miles up the road at Lympston.
