Hele & Bradninch station (remains), 1995
View SW, towards Exeter, Plymouth and Penzance: ex-GWR (London, Bristol etc.) - Taunton - Exeter - Plymouth - Penzance main line. The station was closed to passengers 5/10/64 (to goods 17/5/65), but the line continues as the main line to the West Country - paralleling the M5 Motorway. (Cf. Image]).

Former railway station buildings, Hele
The line remains in use and is the main line to Exeter and Cornwall from Bristol and the north. It is protected by a level crossing.

Hele & Bradninch railway station (site), Devon
Opened in 1844 by the Bristol & Exeter Railway, later part of the Great Western Railway, this station closed to passengers in 1964 and completely in 1965.
View south west towards Silverton and Exeter St. Davids. Both platforms are gone but remarkably, the small station building survives. The goods shed also survives, just out of view to the right.
