Well house and water conduit, Woodbury Salterton
Above a duck-filled stream on Village Road. Dating from about 1847, the well house rather resembles an ornate altar tomb with its moulded finial. Around the water outlet at this northern side is an arch, the inner part of which is trefoil-shaped. Well, Woodbury Salterton
Access is down a flight of steps, however there is no way into the tiny building now. It is not shown on maps, but the inscription, which is difficult to read, includes the word 'water' so I assume that it was a well.
