The Old School in Pilton, stood beside the church of St Mary, served for many years before closing. It is now home to the Pilton Arts Group - a local association of artists that use the well-lit former classrooms for occasional courses and studies.

Bull Hill almshouses
Pilton was a separate village to Barnstaple until it was incorporated into the town of Barnstaplein 1836. Before that, this row of almshouses was probably built in the seventeenth century; they were restored and enlarged by the Reverend Thomas Boweller, and opened on 20th May, 1849. Grade II listed.
