This lavish tomb is that of Sir Robert Chichester, with two rows of kneeling figures, including children facing a double prie-dieu. Sir Robert was a Knight of the Bath, a Custos rotulorum, Deputy Lieutenant of the county and a Colonel of a regiment of foot. He died in 1627, aged 48. See Image] for his father's memorial.
