Eastern end of Balls Farm Road
Balls Farm Road forms a very quiet, attractive route for cyclists and pedestrians only from the village of Ide in towards Exeter. At this point, however, the way gives out onto the hideously busy Alphington Road and interchange for Sainsbury's.

Bridge footings, Church Road, Alphington
The neatly shaped stone (from a local quarry at Pocombe Image) once supported a railway bridge for the branch line to Ide and Longdown from Exeter. The A377 follows the route of the line to the A30. There was a railway halt on the line on the north side of Church Road, lost to road and other development
