Loughwood Baptist Meeting House, near Axminster
Now ! Is it me, or does that exposed stonework and stone buttresses, together with the shape of the thatch, make this end of the building look like a Frenchman wearing a beret, and sporting mutton-chop whiskers ?

There is evidence that the gallery was at one time used by players of stringed instruments. There are some music-rests and also in one place a book-rest has been cut away to accommodate the bass viol.
