Greatwood Farm
The farm lies in a small side valley of the River Axe just north of Axminster. The farm lies at the end of Watery Lane although a bridle path and track continue beyond the farm past Greatwood Coppice which can be seen in the distance.

The bullocks shown in Image] are heading me off at the pass, as I approach the conclusion of Axminster Footpath 48 at the farm. A bit of waving of arms enabled me to get to the gate safely.

Watery Lane
For a large part of its length the lane runs alongside a stream hence the name. It leads from the mainroad near Axminster up to Greatwood Farm

Bullocks, Greatwood Farm
See Image]; the herd of bullocks have been pursuing me along Axminster Footpath 48, but only on examining the photos do I realise how carefully the majority are moving in a single line in the rear; presumably it's the leaders who are clustering around me. This was the third close encounter with such animals on this day; see also Image

Cattle pasture, Greatwood Farm
The bullocks have been following me at uncomfortably close quarters, but are a tad perplexed by my decision to take a photo looking up the valley I have just walked down, along Axminster Footpath 48. Look, you imbeciles, the sun's just come out! This is a significant tributary of the Axe but I can't yet find a name for it.
