The Hideaway
Small café at the foot of The Chine and at the end of West Walk. It first appears on the 1936 1:2,500 map, marked as a shelter, which is also the first appearance of West Walk as a hard-surfaced promenade.

The Hideaway, Seaton Esplanade
What was The Chine Café has been refurbished providing more indoor space for customers and reopened under the banner "The Hideaway". Let's hope the customers can still find it. It was closed from 2015 to earlier this year (2016) and is apparently run by an ex chemistry teacher from Branscombe.

End of West Walk, Seaton Promenade
Looking west from the end of Seaton Promenade West Walk at The Chine. The notice is self explanatory and was erected when the coastal erosion defence wall was strengthened. The change in geology at Seaton Hole from sandstone to Limestone is plain to see on a sunny day.
