Temple Bar, Theobald's Park
Designed by Christopher Wren, this structure came from Paternoster Square, London and eventually returned there. It was very neglected when sited in Theobald's Park. It looked much finer later in London. See Image

Temple Bar, Waltham Cross
Between 1878 and 2004, when it was moved to Paternoster Square (Image]), this wonderful Baroque structure lay in semi-retirement in the grounds of Theobalds Park (Image]). Built 1670-72. Unlike most other buildings attributed to him, this was actually designed by Christopher Wren. Originally it marked the transition between the Cities of London (Fleet Street) and Westminster (Strand). Grade I listed. The date of the photo is uncertain.
