Monken Hadley Common
The Common was given to the village of Monken Hadley on the enclosure of Enfield Chase in 1777 and is held in Trust for the Commoners. Until about 1950 the Common was used by the Commoners to graze their cattle, but is now open to the public. This is one of the tracks through the wooded area, taken on a very wet August afternoon.
