Arkley Lane is a quiet country lane which leads out from Arkley into the Hertfordshire countryside through to Saffron Green. Although the southern section has been tarred, the northern end is still a green lane. It is thought to be an old drovers' road. The fields alongside are in the Green Belt and largely used for 'horseyculture'.
