New Barnet Station
Covered cycle rack outside the modern station building with automatic ticket facilities. The building has been finished in the yellow bricks preferred by the Great Northern Railway. The original ticket office was located on the footbridge over the main through lines, but was demolished when the bridge was replaced. The road on the left is Station Approach. There is a small car park and a bus stand, occupied in the photo by a 383 to Woodside Park.

New Barnet Station
A view of the rail-side footbridge as it was in 1976. Passengers entered the station via a footbridge on the other side of the ticket hall. They then accessed this footbridge connecting the platforms via the doorways on the right. This section of footbridge is no longer in use having been removed when the station was rebuilt and the old ticket hall demolished - just the steel flooring below the wooden planks remains in situ as it forms a structural part of the bridge over the tracks. See Image for a view of the station including this building.
