Power beside the A111
I believe this is a modular electricity substation, though I have been unable to confirm that at this time. It is adjacent to a more conventional open plan substation. The A111 Cockfosters Road is visible through the access gates beyond.

Footpath from Cockfosters Road
This footpath leads away from the busy Cockfosters Road and is soon in countryside as seen here. It leads to Enfield Chase and Trent Country Park. At the bottom of the slope is the valley of the delightfully named Leeging Beech Gutter which is a tributary of Salmon's Brook, which in turn flows into the River Lea. Damming of Leeging Beech Gutter is what created the lake in Trent Park.
