Kent Drive, Cockfosters, Hertfordshire
The beginning of Kent Drive as seen from near the junction with Westpole Avenue. Looking up above the hedge on the left of the image there was a flock of birds (possibly seagulls) circling fairly high in the sky. It was a strange sight to see and not something I have seen in this area before, there are no rubbish dumps nearby with permanent residents that I have ever seen. Although black-headed gulls abound in the winter on Boxer's Lake and other areas of water, and come to the gardens to feed, they are never in evidence in the summer and anyway, the birds I saw seemed larger birds anyway, possibly other types of seabirds driven inland by the bad weather.

Looking east along Kent Drive, which is unusual in that it only has houses on one side of the road. Therefore the houses are numbered consecutively - 1 2 3 4 etc., rather than 1 3 5 etc. on one side and 2 4 6 etc. on the other.
