This new footpath runs beside an ancient hedge. There are a number of oak trees growing near this path, which are just coming into leaf.

Ancient Hedge with Modern Footpath, Worlds End Lane, London N21
On the left of the image you can see the Ancient Hedge, which used to have an unmade footpath beside it. Since the construction of the Highlands School, a new footpath has been made as you can see here, but the hedge, fortunately, has been preserved.

Brick built George V pillar box, Lonsdale Drive, Enfield
This rare brick built pillar box used to be near the junction of Lonsdale Drive and Worlds End. It was replaced a few years ago with a round iron George V pillar box Image]to cope with the additional mail produced by the new housing estate on the site of the former Highlands Hospital.
