Woodland, Murieston East Road
Livingston is built on land which had a fair bit of woodland, either small blocks or strip woods. As a result the town is lucky to have a good collection of mature woodlands. The strips in particular are used by the footpath network which is well signposted.

Livingston South Station
There was a time when it was considered reasonable for a settlement the size of Livingston to not have a rail link. Now there are two stations, both far from the centre but the town has expanded around them somewhat. This one is on the Edinburgh - Glasgow Central line while Livingston North, miles away to the north is on the Bathgate to Edinburgh railway.

Livingston South railway station, Lothian, 2013
Opened in 1984 by British Rail on the line from Glasgow to Edinburgh via Shotts.
View north east towards Kirknewton and Edinburgh, some 6 years before the railway line was electrified and the station largely rebuilt. See Image for a 2019 view taken from a similar position.
