Main Road, Macmerry
On a bike on this visit, not skis like last time. Still cold but during a mild Winter. The weather was very dry so the road salt had come out of solution giving the light grey colour to the tar.

Former post office, Macmerry
The post office on Westbank Road is now closed. Attempts to find out if it has moved or been completely culled as has happened in Elphinstone have been thwarted by endless out of date directory sites clogging up search engines. Macmerry was not amongst the closures announced in 2009.
