Gracemount High School
GHS is a suburban City of Edinburgh secondary school just off the Lasswade Road at the junction with Captains Road. This building first opened to pupils in 2003 and replaced a 1950s building. It was created under a public-private partnership (PPP) scheme by Edinburgh Schools Partnership (ESP). The design has a central hall with classroom wings leading off.
Gracemount was one of a number of 21st century school buildings in Edinburgh found to be defective. Construction expert Prof John Cole published a damning report into the scandal in 2017.

Gracemount High School
Gracemount High School pictured at dusk on Saturday April 9th 2016 after contractors erected fencing around the school building. This is one of the PPP1 schools Edinburgh City Council has suddenly closed amidst fears the buildings are not structurally sound.
