Railway bridge ECA2 280/136
The path under is plated as 'The Tunnel' by the road people, which presumably refers not to the bridge but to a subway under the canal on the old path route behind the camera. The railway is the line from Carstairs on the West Coast Main Line to Edinburgh.

Plates on railway bridge
The line, ECA2, is the Carstairs East Junction to Slateford Junction section of the former Caledonian route to Edinburgh, the distance being from Carlisle. The street name does not refer to the bridge, but to a subway under the canal embankment further on to the left. The bridge is over what is now only a foot and cycle path.
