The line, ECA2, is the Carstairs East Junction to Slateford Junction section of the former Caledonian route to Edinburgh, the distance being from Carlisle. The street name does not refer to the bridge, but to a subway under the canal embankment further on to the left. The bridge is over what is now only a foot and cycle path.
