The control tower at Edinburgh Airport. The tower has been illuminated as Edinburgh Airport commences re-branding after its sale in 2012. Global Infrastructure Partners purchased the airport from BAA for a sum reported to be just over £800 million. More details can be found on Edinburgh Airport's website:

Edinburgh airport control tower
A somewhat foreshortened view of the 57 metre high control tower at Edinburgh airport. The drainage channels arranged in a double helical pattern, and the zinc cladding tiles (9126 in total) are clearly visible. The tower opened in 2005, with Reid and Arup (respectively) providing architectural and engineering expertise.

Spitfire at Turnhouse
Now Edinburgh International Airport. This aircraft will be familiar to all who visit Edinburgh Airport. Not sure what the aircraft actually is*, since Spitfire Mk Ia ‘XT-D' (L1067) ‘Blue Peter' of No 603 Squadron was the personal aircraft of 603 [City of Edinburgh] Squadron Commander, Squadron Leader George Denholm DFC, who bailed out of it on the 30th of August 1940 over Snargate, Kent after combat with a Bf 110.
