The 'Alma', Oriel Road, Homerton
At first sight, this looks like one of those sad pictures of closed pubs that are now a regular in urban areas, but the good news here is that the Alma is still open - you get in by the door along Oriel Road, to the right.

Homerton railway station, Greater London
Opened in 1868 by the North London Railway on the line from North Woolwich and Stratford to Richmond, this station closed to passengers in 1944. It was rebuilt and reopened by British Rail in 1985. View east towards Hackney Wick and Stratford.
