Cycle path near Beckton
This cycle path is part of a local cycle path leading from National Cycle Network 13 toward the Royal Albert Docks. It heads right towards Ferndale Street. In the background is part of the aborted river crossing that was going to cross the River Thames towards Woolwich. The bridge passes over Royal Docks Road and then stops (just before the DLR)!

Bridge over Royal Docks Road
At present this bridge only carries traffic in one direction (westwards) from the slip road off the south bound A1020. But it was clearly designed for significant volumes of two-way traffic. Behind the photographer it becomes a dead-end stub of viaduct.
