Pointless Red & White Gate
Am I missing something here? It looks like the only reason for opening the gate would be to make driving into the bollard a bit easier. This is in County Road, Beckton.

View through the trees into the Britvic Factory
Normally the Beckton Britvic beverages factory is very hard to see due to being shrouded in trees throughout most of the year, but as it was winter and the trees had lost their foliage, I could get quite a clear view of the factory through this reasonably sized gap in the trees. At this point, Royal Docks Road inclines into an embankment passing over the large sewer which flows throughout much of Newham, and it is this embankment from which I took this photo, looking west.

Eddie Stobart in Alpine Way
One of Eddie's fleet parked along this trading estate road. The back end looks very lopsided. The name Alpine Way comes from the "Beckton Alps," the long standing popular name for an enormous heap of industrial waste from a former gas works which is just behind me at the end of the road. Once an eyesore, it is now a nice green hill.
