Miniature railways, Ridgeway Park
Built and operated by Chingford & District Model Engineering Club this works to the usual public park formula of offering rides on Sunday afternoons and bank holidays in the summer. It is not so usual in having two tracks, one the common elevated one in a simple loop with dual 3.5" and 5" gauges - a bit of this is visible between the nearer buildings. The other is not so often encountered, a ground level 5"/7.25" system. This is of some complexity, and has a large terminal station seen here, connected to a main line with two return loops and several cross connections. One loop features two level crossings across a park path.
