Looking down the line from Chingford Station
A train has just departed Chingford Station heading towards Highams Park. The washing facilities are to the right. Taken from a footbridge linking Beresford Road and Cross Road.

Chingford railway station
This is the trackwork at the jaws of the approach to Chingford station, with a complex set of points lower left and a straight diamond crossover visible above the brown insulator. There are train stabling sidings both off to the left in the photograph and behind the photographer. The photograph was taken from the footbridge linking Beresford Road with Cross Road, Stanley Road and Garfield Road to the west.

Chingford: Beresford Road
On the face of it this is just an ordinary residential road that was originally developed once the railway came to Chingford in 1878. But the houses on the left are highly decorated and topped out with extraordinary dragon finials on the gable ends! Note too the post with radiating overhead telephone cables, still a common sight down many residential streets.
