Bow Road tube station
This station was opened in 1902 by the Whitechapel & Bow Railway (which was later incorporated into the District Line), with the Hammersmith & City Line (then the Metropolitan Line) following in 1936. The station booking hall is now a Grade II listed building.

Arriving at Bow Road
A westbound District Line service to Richmond descends the tight bend into the station. The train is formed of D78 stock which is due to be phased out in 2016 by new S7 stock. Bow Road Station was built by the Whitechapel and Bow Railway and opened in 1902. It is served by the District and Hammersmith & City Lines.

Bow Road Underground station, Greater London
Opened in 1902 by the Whitechapel and Bow Railway, later part of the District Line, on the line from London to Upminster. View east towards Bromley-by-Bow and Upminster. Like 55% of the London Underground network, this part is actually overground.
