Regent's Canal: Haggerston Bridge
This bridge carries Haggerston Road, which to the south soon reaches a T-junction with Laburnum Street, and to the north runs down towards Dalston. In the picture, on the left, Ron's shellfish emporium appears derelict with many broken windows. Further along the canal on the left are the elaborate and no doubt expensive buildings of The Bridge Academy - new school, new name, new head teacher no doubt, same kids, same problems.

Public entrances, Haggerston Baths
Opened 1904, closed 2000, this grade II listed building was disused at the time of this view but there were plans to use it again in some way. The stone between the doors was laid on 18th March 1903 by the Mayor of Shoreditch. The council chairman and vice-chairman also appear to have had a hand.
