Travellers' caravans, Clays Lane
Caravans at Clays Lane Travellers' site. May 2008, Julian Cheyne adds - The Travellers have been moved to a small park between Major Road and Leyton Road. This involved the destruction of the park, a children's play area and a community centre which housed a nursery school. The Travellers' site is to be part of the Athletes' Village.

A residential court, Clays Lane Community, Feb 2007
Some of the tenants of this pleasant Peabody Trust estate have taken alternative accommodation - but many remain. This is an example of mid 20th century social housing which accommodated car ownership. The Olympic Velodrome will be behind the photographer. The Olympic Village will be the other side of Clay Lane, behind this court.
