Ex-GE 0-6-0 in Stratford Locomotive Yard
The 272 GER Worsdell Y14 (LNER J15) 0-6-0s were noted for their simplicity and robustness: this one survived to be preserved by the M&GN Society and works on the heritage North Norfolk Railway. In February 1961 it is seen in the yard of the great Stratford Locomotive Depot to which it was allocated, attached for some unknown reason to a tender with cab. It was built in 3/1912 as GE No. 564, became LNER No. 7564 (No. 5462 from 1946) and survived in traffic until 9/62.
