Former Three Suns Pub, Garnet Street, Wapping
Signs on the front of this old pub state "For Sale or To Let" (April 2019). This is the old "Three Suns" pub - see sign on second floor window. In the early 1980's I heard a rumour that it was used as a filming location for "Til Death Us Do Part" - So Alf Garnett had visited Garnet Street. Scherzer rolling bridge, Garnet Street, Wapping
Electric bridge that is no longer in use and is over the cut that led from Shadwell Basin to the eastern dock of London Dock - now filled in. It is surprising that the Scherzer bridges were electrically powered whilst situated in the midst of the London Hydraulic Power Co supply area. There is a more photographed example at the other end of Shadwell Basin.

The buildings of the former "London Hydraulic Power Company"
This, the Wapping Hydraulic Pumping Station, was one of five stations, originally powered by coal powered steam engines. "The system was used as a cleaner and more compact alternative to steam engines, to power workshop machinery, lifts, cranes, theatre machinery, and the backup mechanism of Tower Bridge. It was also used to supply fire hydrants, mostly those inside buildings. The water, pumped straight from the Thames, was heated in winter to prevent freezing." (Source; Wiki)
