Sugar House, Whitechapel
This spectacular building with its distinctive clock tower stands on the corner of Leman street and Hooper Street sandwiched between the City and the East End. It was built in 1887 to serve as the Cooperative Wholesale Society's headquarters and as a sugar warehouse. It is now in the process of being converted into flats.
