Looking along Church Lane, Walthamstow Village
Walthamstow is an Essex village which has been engulfed in the London sprawl. This 15th century half-timbered house can be seen to the south of St Mary's Churchyard - see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3815540 The house rests on a more modern brick restoration work. It is on the corner of Church Lane and Orford Road. This view was taken on a rather wet January afternoon.

View of a painted statue of a lady carrying a lamb outside God's Own Junkyard
God's Own Junkyard is the studio of Chris Bracey, a neon sign and light artist. It is the largest stockist of vintage neon signs in Europe and the oldest signmaker in London. It is open to the general public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Photography is permitted in God's Own Junkyard, but only by using mobile phone cameras (although cameras, tripods, etc. can be used by prior appointment only). One of the first pieces of work that welcomes you into the studio is this painted statue of a lady carrying a lamb. Looking north-northeast.
