William Morris Gallery
The William Morris Gallery, opened by Prime Minister Clement Attlee in 1950. The house contains a museum to English Arts and Crafts designer and early socialist William Morris.

The William Morris Gallery (Water House) Forest Road Walthamstow
William Morris was born in Walthamstow in 1834 and lived in Water House from 1848 to 1856. He was an English textile designer, artist, writer, and socialist associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and the English Arts and Crafts Movement. He died in October 1896. The William Morris Gallery is undergoing a redevelopment at present and should reopen in July 2012.
