West Silvertown DLR station
One of the stations on the elevated section of the DLR opened in December 2005 to King George V, and extended in January 2009 to Woolwich Arsenal. The shape of the platform canopies on this branch is reminiscent of that of the much earlier Southern Railway design of suburban stations such as Image Viewed from one of the first trains to operate from the new station at Woolwich.
