From the cutting housing the East London Line, one can see this classic London school building which stands on Durward Street. The style is typical of the buildings put up by the School Board for London around 1900.

The Blind Beggar Pub
Not an ordinary pub in Whitechapel Road - but the one where George Cornell, a member of the notorious Richardson gang, was shot 3 times in the head by one of Kray twins, Ronnie, to avenge a family killing in 1966.
