Drapers Field - an Olympic legacy
Drapers Field has been transformed as part of Waltham Forest Council's Olympic legacy. Drapers Field now offers a variety of sports and play equipment and includes a cycle route, a football pitch, a junior grass football pitch, an under 5's play area, an under 12’s play area, table tennis, a sport pavilion and a cafe. This photograph looks out from the cafe with High Road Leyton to the right where the bus can be seen.

Temple Mills Yard
The southern end of the extensive Temple Mills goods yards. Dating from circa 1880, they were built in this form between 1954 and 1959. At the North end of the yard, beyond the bridge in the distance, wagons were sorted using hump shunting methods. By the time this photo was taken wagon load traffic had all but died and the yard was in decline. With the redevelopment of the area for the Channel Tunnel rail link and the 2012 olympic games, the yard has seen a rebirth as the depot for the Eurostar trains. 47130 heads a block train of Ford containers out of the yard.
