Three Mills Wall River, Stratford, London
A view from a spot immediately north of the Three Mills Residential Moorings facility. The cylindrical tower ahead (a.k.a. the Strand Tower East) - a hollow, latticed timber sculpture - is situated in the historic Dane's Yard area of Sugar House Island. Beyond it is Groves Bridge that carries the A118 through Stratford.

Three Mills Green Vicinity, Bow, London, E3
The Three Mills residential moorings facility is a community of approximately twenty residential narrowboats on the side of Three Mills Green, a public green space. Permission for its creation, with onshore facilities to include a garden and service areas with a launderette was granted in 1998, with subsequent amendments in 2008 to reconfigure and improve the moorings. Although historically this stretch of water was tidal, it was converted to non-tidal stretch in preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games by the construction of a weir. Thus access to the mooring is by two locks; City Mill Lock to the north and the Three Mills Lock in the Prescott Channel. The rear elevation of House Mill can be seen in middle of the picture, with the Canary Wharf tower behind it. The tallest of the cluster of buildings on the right seems likely to be the Marner Point apartment block, which is situated obliquely opposite the Bromley-by-Bow Underground Station. This photograph was taken from a footpath that forms part of a circular historical trail.

Sewage workers' memorial
This monument was erected in 2001 to replace the original which was 150 metres to the south. The statue shows one arm grasping another in a rescue attempt. Nearby Bisson Road is named after Daniel Bisson who built the House Mill in 1776.
