Development, South Quay Plaza
Canary Wharf is eating itself. The predecessor on this site dated from the late 1980s, making it one of the earliest (or even perhaps the earliest; it was a rare excursion into po-mo by Richard Seifert). The new development comprises, I think, two or three buildings - the signature dockside tower is by Foster and Partners for Berkeley Homes. It will be CW's second tallest building (after One Canada Square) at around 800 feet, and angled at 45 degrees, making a break with CW's grid pattern.
