Switch House
The first of four electrically-named tower blocks alongside the DLR at East India Station; the others are Neutron, Proton and Elektron Towers. I suppose it might look more sparky if it wasn't pouring with rain.

Building in Poplar, viewed from the Lower Lea Crossing
This distinctive building which looks like a sliced gherkin is in Poplar, near Billingsgate Market. Looking west-southwest just inside the top left-hand corner of the square.

East India Docks Basin, London.
Part of the residential development overlooking the former East India Dock basin and the O2 Arena. This is the view from a section of the Docklands Light Railway above Blackwall Way. These properties are on Pilgrim Way and Jamestown Way. The former docks - previously located behind the photographer - played a key role in the construction of the floating Mulberry harbours used by the Allies to support the D-Day landings in France during WWII. After WII, in which all the docks were badly damaged, the East India Docks were confined to providing docking facilities for Channel Islands traffic and to the maintenance of dredger equipment etc. Now, only the entrance basin remains.
