Glenkerry House, Burcham Street
One of three distinctive buildings on this estate by Ernö Goldfinger for the Greater London Council, in 1965-67. This one isn't as uncompromising as the other two - it is more of a traditional slab, the concrete is leavened by the use of brick, and the slab even has rounded corners as if inside Goldfinger there was a secret Art Deco-ist trying to escape. Balfron Tower, Poplar
Built in the 1960s, Balfron Tower is a 27 storey building overlooking the northern entrance to the Blackwall Tunnel. Designed by Ernő Goldfinger, the architect behind the similar Trellick Tower in West London, it has been a Grade II listed building since 1998.

Carradale House, St Leonard's Road
One of three distinctive buildings on this estate by Ernö Goldfinger for the Greater London Council, in 1965-67.
