Bow Creek and the Millennium Dome from Canning Town station
Looking southeast from the elevated DLR platform at Canning Town we have a downstream view of Bow Creek, and in the background the Millennium Dome, or O2 as it is now known. From here, it seems difficult to believe that the dome is on the far side of the River Thames.

A glimpse of the River Lee from Canning Town Station
The river does some big meanders here before reaching the Thames. The O2 Arena can be seen beyond.

The Millennium Dome from Canning Town
The Millennium Dome. Part alien craft, part poached egg, it's just weird anyway, so no apologies for making it look even weirder by tweaking the exposure a bit. Plus it's not even the Dome any more. It's O2, which is a kind of run out of ideas sort of name for a building. Good view of it from Canning Town DLR station. Bow Creek in the foreground.

Bow Creek, looping down to the Thames
The Creek is a boundary here - this side Newham, the far side Tower Hamlets. The former Millennium Dome on the skyline is across the Thames.
