The London Sri Murugan Temple, Little Ilford
Large very ornate and beautifully carved temple on Browning Road.
The Sri Murugan temple was paid for by subscription amongst the local Tamil community and opened in 2006. It took three years to build with every brick, granite and carving transported from India where it had been created by local craftsman for later assembly. The temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan, son of Shiva, the god of war and the patron saint of Tamil Nadu.
