Opened in 1894 by the Tottenham and Forest Gate Junction Railway on the line from Gospel Oak to Barking.
View south east towards Wanstead Park and Barking shortly after the line was electrified. See Image for a pre-electrification view some 6 years earlier.

Leytonstone High Road station, 2007
View SE, towards Barking: ex-Midland (Tottenham & Forest Gate) line, Kentish Town etc. - Barking etc. The station ('Leytonstone Midland' until 1/5/49) and the line, now part of London Overground, have been upgraded since 2007.
