Vehicles are forced to steer between two posts placed 2 metres apart. Scraped paint on each post suggests that they don't always succeed!

View along the green and avenue of trees on St Mary's Avenue
There is no pavement as such on the eastern side of St Mary's Ave, but instead there is this very pleasant green strip with trees planted in a linear fashion either side, which looks far more attractive than just a standard pavement. Looking north-northwest back towards Wanstead town centre.
