Stepney Green Telephone Exchange
Located at 419-425 Commercial Road E1 0HA, this TE serves the Stepney area of East London. It used to have STEpney Green numbers until the late 1960s, but now has 0207-780, 790 and 791 xxxx numbers. The original redbrick building is on the right of the photo whilst the recent extension with the mobile phone aerials on its roof, can be seen to the left. Somehow the joined-up buildings don't seem to fit together all that comfortably.

Stepney's Nightclub Commercial Road
The nightclub, which is next to The George Tavern, was built in the 1970s, it has been derelict since 2007. Inside it still has its original décor, including a 70s dance floor, which was the scene for indie band Pulp’s 'Common People' music video.
